You’ll be happy to learn about the changes we’ve introduced into the previous 1.3.2 version.

HERE THEY ARE:

CAMERA:

• full support for cameras on all the Samsung devices, including support of the front and rear cameras and the automatic rotation detection;
• front camera gets used by default on all devices;
• improved support for cameras with pictures turned through 90 degrees;
• the mobile client now sends video picture in a landscape orientation.

VIDEO CONFERENCE WINDOW:

• does not depend on the screen form any more, occupies maximum space;
• layout of the elements has been optimized to fit all the existing screen types, including HTC 4G;
• automatic screen rotation supported. The layout changes depending on the portrait or landscape phone orientation;
• the camera rotates thanks to automatic rotation detection, and your party always gets a normal picture irrespective of the phone position;
• conference management elements (audio/video) are brought to the main screen for quick access;
• "Start chat" button is always available during a conference;
• accelerated rendering and reduced blink rate of the video window;
• new design.

CHAT:

• the ability to close unnecessary dialogs has been provided;
• chat service for smartphones has been improved.

APPLICATION INTERFACE:

• chat windows interface has been improved;
• improved work of the address book, we also got rid of blinking of the screen upon the status updating;
• enhanced auto detection mechanism.

NETWORK:

• program has been adjusted so that network connections on GPRS/EDGE/WiFi can be used.

MISCELLANEOUS:

• audio output device can be selected;
• the errors revealed in the 1.3.2 version are corrected.

IMPORTANT:

• Is not compatible with 1.3.2 due to the changes in the video orientation

VideoPort, LLC will implement support of VP8 video codec in all of its video conferencing products.

A comprehensive comparison of VP8 codec and H.264 video codecs has been made applied to various video conferencing modes. VideoPort’s specialists report that VP8 video codec has showed excellent results on high bandwidth channels, surpassing best video codecs of H.264 standard.

It was decided to implement VP8 video codec into VideoPort’s products as a default video codec for high bandwidth Internet connections. A Cyclone™ video codec will continue to be used for unreliable bandwidths, low resolutions and on slow CPUs. A proprietary video codec CycloneTM was specially designed to bring business-grade video conferencing quality on slow channels and regular PCs.

VP8 video codec was originally developed by On2 Technologies and acquired by Google earlier this year. At I/O conference Google has announced the release of VP8’s sources and suggested it to be used as a default video codec for HTML5 standard.

We are proud to present to you a new major release of our server product named VideoPort VCS 3.0.

As you might know whole VZOchat service is running on such software servers located around the globe.

This new release is a successor of a previous versions of our servers (VideoPort SBS/SBS Plus/Enterprise), which contain all the features we have provided before and much more.

Our software video conferencing servers are well known for their quality and rich functionality. They were designed to work in distributed and/or secured networks. VideoPort VCS can work off-line without any Internet connection required, however you can allow it to join distant parties over the Internet.

VideoPort VCS 3.0 change log:
• maximum number of the participants of multipoint video conferencing (in which all the participants can see and hear each other) has reached 16 people;
• number of a video meeting participants can be now up to 90 people;
• you can arrange video windows in a way you want it and enlarge/minimize any window with a single mouse click;
• text chat obtained history and smiles;
• PowerPoint presentations can be seamlessly streamed in a slide show;
• any type of conference can be created directly from a client application;
• sound quality and automatic gain control algorithms were significantly improved!

We are proud to present you new VZOchat beta version 7: easy to use, faster and more comfortable, specially designed to meet tomorrow video conferencing software requirements.

This beta will also be a base for future cross-platform versions of VZOchat for Mac OS X and Linux.

It's only a beta, it may have some bugs and doesn't have some features. We have a lot of work ahead and will very appreciate your feedbacks and bug reports on VZOchat 7 Beta, thank you!

Tonight Avast Antivirus has released a 091203-0 update of its VPS which have caused many false positives issues with "Win32 : Delf-MZG" in .EXE files, among them VZOchat.exe.

You need to know that this issue has nothing to do with quality and security of our products, we always check all our release and they contains no dangerous or malicious code, no hidden adds, no modules for tracking users.

Please update your Avast VPS bad release 091203-0 to the latest release 091203-1 where this issue was fixed.
